This page describes what RentOS collects, why, and what we will not do. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible.
Only the processors that make the product work: Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Twilio for calls and messages you approve, Documenso for e-signature, and an AI provider for the reasoning Mara does. Each receives only what its job requires.
Web searches are scrubbed before they leave. When Mara looks something up on the open web she sends the city, the ZIP, the unit type and the question. She does not send a resident's name, a street address, a phone number, an email address or a figure from your ledger, and every query she sends — and every one she refused to send — is logged so that rule can be checked rather than believed.
A resident's data belongs to the tenancy it came from. A resident cannot see another resident's anything, and every read is scoped to one organisation at the query, not hidden at the screen.
You can leave whenever you like and take your portfolio with you: leases, payment history, maintenance records, vendor list and audit trail. Ask and we will get them to you in a usable form. Residents keep their app access through a transition rather than being cut off mid-tenancy.
We keep records for as long as you run the tenancy and for as long afterwards as the law and your own accounting require. Encrypted backups are taken nightly and held off-site; retention is 14 days for daily copies and 56 days for weekly ones.
RentOS is a tool for landlords and their residents and is not directed at children.
